This $1.4 million expansion and renovation of the Our Savior’s Church Abbeville Campus is a 2,500 square foot expansion and renovation of a 12,400 square foot building, aimed at increasing seating capacity and enhancing functionality. The project began with blowing out the back wall of the existing sanctuary to expand seating from 230 to over 450. A new wraparound lobby was added, connecting the sanctuary to a future separate parking area, improving accessibility and flow for churchgoers.
Aesthetic upgrades included a composite wood decking slat wall screen-wall system, elevating the building’s exterior design. A new butterfly drop-off canopy ties into a brick colonnade, visually linking the sanctuary with the adjacent NextGen Kids building, and new overhead canopies provide additional connectivity between the buildings.
The NextGen Kids building was updated with a new stucco wall replacing a demolished portion and framing a shaded covered entrance, enhancing the building’s appearance and offering a welcoming point for families. Inside the main sanctuary, the sound booth was upgraded, new finishes were added, and a new sprinkler system was installed for safety and code compliance. The lobby was also updated with a welcome center, creating a functional space for visitors.
Completed in April 2025, this expansion and renovation significantly enhance the Our Savior’s Church Abbeville Campus, creating a modern, inviting environment for worship and ministry within a 12,400 square foot facility.
