A Beazley Architecture recently completed this transformative 21,000 square-foot renovation of an existing Dirt Cheap building in Ville Platte, Louisiana, converting it into a dynamic new campus for Our Savior’s Church (OSC). Completed in early 2026, this adaptive reuse project preserves cost efficiency while delivering a modern, functional facility tailored to a growing congregation in Evangeline Parish.
The heart of the campus is the main sanctuary, seating over 350 people, designed for impactful worship services with excellent sightlines, acoustics, and AV integration. Adjacent, the Children’s Ministry wing prioritizes safety and engagement – featuring a dedicated nursery, multiple age-appropriate classrooms, and secure Kids Ministry spaces that support easy drop-off and pickup while fostering spiritual growth.
A spacious, welcoming lobby serves as the entry hub, flanked by streamlined Children’s Check-In areas for smooth flow and security. Nearby, a full kitchen and coffee service station creates a fellowship-friendly environment for community meals, post-service gatherings, and everyday connection.
The exterior refresh includes contemporary composite wood slats for a clean, inviting aesthetic, plus a cantilevered drop-off canopy that provides weather protection and a grand entrance feel. This project exemplifies adaptive reuse in Acadiana – turning underutilized commercial space into a thriving ministry hub.
